High School Program
With HSA’s High School Language Program, our students are expected to cover more material in a shorter time period, without sacrificing important foundational topics. Within the first few lessons, students immediately are encouraged to speak Spanish by repeating what they hear from their teachers in Real-Time. The Spanish 1, 2, and 3 Language courses are designed to achieve the following objectives as aligned with the Languages Other Than English (LOTE) and The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL). Each of our levels, such as our Level 1a, is the equivalent of one semester of Spanish in a public learning institution based on the ACTFL, and AATSP objectives. Students who complete this curriculum will receive 0.5 credits towards their Spanish 1 fulfillment. The full credit for Spanish 1 will be earned once the student completes Spanish 1b. The later courses are similarly structured as well (i.e. Spanish 2a and 2b, etc.)
HSA offers Spanish classes tailored to your child. On a 1-on-1 basis, your child will receive instructions from a professional teacher. Each class consists of didactic material, exercises and content especially customized to your child. We provide an online Spanish immersion experience right from the comfort of your own home and all your child’s questions are answered during class time. The program also helps your child to reduce their fear of speaking in front of peers. HSA goes beyond an online Spanish course; we offer true immersion so that your child actually uses this new language! Whether your child is a slow or a fast learner, our teachers will adapt the lesson to their needs, not the other way around. Summer school online classes are also possible. Have your child learn Spanish effectively with the HSA 1-on-1 experience!
